The wedding of Aukje and Wouter took place in Friesland, one of the Northern provinces of the Netherlands. A province with a beautiful landscape of lakes, golden fields of reed and wide fields with once in a while a single farm. The illustration on the front of the wedding card is based on this typical Frysian landscape.
